Giuseppe | Richard | Salem | Larry Rinehart | Our Crew
Larry Rinehart has been in the food service industry for years and still loves the excitement, challenge, creativity and show business of it all. Leaving NYC in 1975 to live on the “Left” coast, his California history began…
Beginning Larry’s California chapter in San Diego was an inspired French restaurant called “The Restaurant” in the late 1970’s. From Saucier and Maître d' (eventually adding Partner to his title) at “The Restaurant” located in Carlsbad he went to work for Siegfried Heil at “Café Eurpoa” in Oceanside as Head Waiter/Dining Room Manager. Then Larry headed from Oceanside to Encinitas and the opening of his offering “Rinehart & Company” on Coast Highway as Partner and Executive Chef where he prepared what, at the time, was called California Cuisine.
As the 80’s came to a close Larry moved into the Catering business. His friend Tony Kopas wanted to start a high end catering company and Larry was open to the Executive Chef opportunity. 20 years later Larry was Owner and Executive Chef of TK&A Custom Catering and it was time to pass the baton.
That brings us to today and Larry joining “Giuseppe Fine Catering” with the title of Director of Business Development. Joining a company that already has a strong reputation as a quality based establishment with a history that began in Italy, the nation from which the “Slow Food” movement sprang some 20 years ago. It is a message of seasonal foods, regional food and quality food that has been part of the national heritage of Italy for centuries.
That idea fit the parallel track that Larry has followed in his career and made this move a wonderful opportunity for him to join Giuseppe’s business to grow into new areas with the strength of knowledge, experience and talent on his side, a divine challenge.
Look for Giuseppe Fine Catering in all the poshest homes, offices and Historic Venues of San Diego and Giuseppe Restaurants, two so far, at Sculpture Garden Café @ SDMA Balboa Park and Museum Cafe @ MCASD La Jolla.
